A 3 piece rail kit designed to allow adding a mid level shelf between the upper and lower grates for either the 480 or 640 smoker with just over 2" of space between the shelf levels. There is no drilling, bolting or other modifications required for install. Easy installation and removal.
You can order the rails only or with a shelf as a combo(not a folding shelf). The shelf can be either expanded metal or plasma cut 3/16" mild steel and will be 18" deep. The plasma cut shelf option was offered per customer request for an option that is easy to scrape and clean, however, the 3/16” steel version is thicker and maintains heat differently so cook times may vary.
The rail kit will work with stock grates as well as with KZL sliding shelf accessory kits as pictured.
Disclaimer: Product is built out of mild steel and should be washed and cleaned and seasoned with high temp cooking oil of choice for use. Weight capacity may vary depending on size and material used for your custom grates/shelves. These kits and shelves are built to order.
